Keshet International format nabs further commissions on Telemadrid and Aragón TV

Keshet International has grown its Spanish footprint for gameshow franchise The Search following its launches on regional broadcasters Aragón TV and Canal Sur.
The former has commissioned spin-off Sopa de Letras Zagales (The Search Kids) while fellow regional channel Telemadrid has ordered a third Spanish version of the parent format – Sopa de Letras – with both produced by Mediapro-owned local outfit Globomedia.
Originally created by now-defunct UK indie Youngest Media (Money Drop) and Keshet International for Keshet 12, The Search is a high-energy, gameshow that transforms the classic word search puzzle into a televisual studio-based event. Contestants race across a giant LED grid, combining trivia knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork to uncover answers below their feet before time runs out.
Telemadrid’s Sopa de Letras will be hosted by journalist and presenter Jota Abril. Following the same core gameplay, three pairs of contestants compete in a tournament format for a jackpot of €10,000, taking on fast-paced challenges including ‘Quick Soup’ and ‘Letter Quake’.
Aragón TV’s kids-focused spin-off is co-hosted by Miki Nadal, who popularised the first adaptation in Spain, now in its fifth season, and actress Vera Berges.
Globomedia has already produced successful Aragón and Canal Sur’s local versions.
Kelly Wright, Keshet International’s managing director of distribution, said: “Powered by Globomedia, the momentum behind The Search in Spain and beyond is undeniable.
“With a brilliantly simple concept at its core, the format’s strength lies in its adaptability, as demonstrated by the multiple versions of Sopa de Letras produced to date – each tailored to meet the needs of individual broadcasters.”
