Users can now use natural language to edit existing videos, rather than regenerating new ones

Adobe has added Prompt To Edit to its Firefly AI video generation software.
Prompt To Edit allows users to make natural language edits to existing clips instead of re-generating from scratch, aiming to allow for improved fine tuning. Users generate a video in Firefly and then edit it using Runway’s Aleph model with specific edit instructions.

In addition, new camera motion controls offer more control over how the camera moves through your scene. Users can upload a start frame image along with a reference video showing the camera motion they want to recreate.
A number of partner models have also been added, including Topaz Astra for video resolution upscaling and Black Forest Labs video model Flux.2.

Firefly video editor is now in public beta, meaning the general public can use the browser-based tool to bring together generated clips, audio, and personal footage together into a finished story.
As part of this release Firefly plan subscribers will have unlimited image generations with all Firefly and partner models, plus unlimited video generations with the Firefly Video Model, until 15 January.
