Video editor unveiled alongside Generate Speech and Generate Soundtrack tools

Adobe has revealed an AI-powered video editor for generating, organising, trimming, and sequencing clips.
The web-based multitrack timeline editor also includes tools that can add voiceovers, soundtracks, and titles. Editors can add their Firefly creations in the Generation History panel, or generate new clips directly in the editor, with the ability to create start or end frames right from the timeline.
They can also upload their own media to combine captured and generative content in one place and edit frame-by-frame or through a built-in transcript for text-based edits. It includes style presets like claymation, anime and 2D, plus a library of customisable title templates.
While the video editor is now in private beta, Adobe also revealed two new AI tools in public beta. Generate Speech is an AI music generator powered by Adobe’s Firefly Audio Model that creates fully licensed, studio-quality instrumental tracks. It can create multiple original track variations in seconds that are synced and timed with users’ video footage.
Meanwhile, Generate speech is a text-to-speech tool for creating voiceovers. Users can choose from voices included in Firefly Speech Model and ElevenLabs before generating voiceovers in multiple languages and fine‑tuning emotion, pacing, and emphasis.

Adobe has also added AI tools to Premiere Pro, including a public beta of AI Object Mask. This allows editors to identify and isolate people and objects in video frames, so they can be edited and tracked without the need for manual rotoscoping. It has also added public betas of Rectangle, Ellipse and Pen Masking, which are precision tools for isolating specific areas of a video frame, and Fast Vector Mask, a redesigned masking tool that allows for faster tracking, bi-directional tracking and 3D perspective tracking.
