Platform includes AI assistant that can answer questions on live data
freispace has launched an AI-powered planning system for post-production houses.
The platform includes several tools. One is orgAI, an AI assistant that can answer questions on live data in the system, for example, “Show all VFX shots delayed past deadline for Project X”, while respecting user permissions.
There is also an MCP server, which allows freispace to be integrated into post houses’ existing AI tools, for example, allowing users to auto-generate client status replies in Slack (“Deadline shifted to Oct 15—see freispace timeline”) without requiring staff to log into their planning system. It also allows users to connect their own LLMs (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini), if they want to.
It also has a full API and tooling designed for use with AI, so that workflows can be customised to what a post house wants.
Fremantle and ITV Studios are currently using freispace, which has a focus on data security. All AI processing occurs within freispace’s self-hosted environment, with no external data transfers or third-party dependencies, and user permissions are always applied.
