Wall of Entertainment’s digital series aims to flip competition shows on their heads by putting the power in kids’ hands. Minor Issues sees a panel of sharp, unfiltered pre-teens decides the fate of adults, including big-name stars, across different challenges. It draws from a well of established and recognisable digital talent to host each episode, including Specs, Nella Rose and Konan.
Working with a modest budget of £30,000 per episode, Minor Issues has built a massive audience among youth demographics, generating 6.4m YouTube views and 4.3m minutes of watch time to date. Some 56.5% of views come from 13-24s. One judge summed it up succinctly in noting its “incredible ratings against budget”.
“It is a great skill to create such a funny show where kids are on a level playing field with big stars,” they added.
Another concluded: “Minor Issues was genuinely funny. The casting of the young people was spot-on, and they absolutely nailed their roles. The insults, jokes, and banter felt authentic and natural, which made the show feel more real and less scripted. The show’s format was clear and easy to follow, with a simple but effective set design. The pacing was excellent, keeping the audience entertained throughout. The relatable content left a lasting impression.”
