Jenn Levy to rejoin Peter Friedlander at 007: Road to a Million producer

Amazon MGM Studios has hired former Netflix exec Jenn Levy to lead its unscripted output.
Levy becomes head of unscripted and documentary TV at Amazon, picking up Lauren Anderson’s former remit prior to her move last year to become a director of brands for the retail giant.

The former Netflix exec will oversee all development and production for Amazon MGM Studios’ unscripted slate, as well as MGM Alternative, Evolution Media and Big Fish Entertainment.
She starts on 20 January and reports into her former Netflix colleague Peter Friedlander, who joined as head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios late last year.
Levy stepped down as vice president of non-fiction at Netflix in 2024 having been at the streamer for seven years, working on shows such as Love Is Blind and Queer Eye.
She was most recently president at Alex Baskin’s LA-based 32 Flavors, having had stints with NBCUniversal’s cablenet Bravo earlier in her career.
“Having a single threaded leader for this vital piece of our business is crucial and bringing on someone of Jenn’s caliber to fill the job makes our future that much brighter,” Friedlander wrote in a message to staff.
The appointment is the latest addition to Amazon MGM Studios, following Jen Salke’s shock exit in March.
Friedlander left Netflix in August to replace Vernon Sanders, with Barry Poznick subsequently departing 007: Road to a Million producer MGM Alternative.
Amazon MGM Studios has also rejigged its international operations, hiring Nicole Clemens to take on responsibility for UK scripted series.
