The distribution company will represent the celebrity chef’s digital presence across YouTube and Facebook, leveraging content from his existing catalogue including the ITV show, which was produced by Banijay’s Electric Robin, and his YouTube channel School of Wok.

Digital-first opportunities for new content will also be explored by Banijay, whose rights arm already manages fellow TV chef Mary Berry’s social media pages.

The company is looking to expand its third-party social media management and already operates close to 300 YouTube and social channels, including the digital output for UK comedians Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett and Larry Dean.

Shaun Keeble, vice president of digital at Banijay Rights, told Broadcast International that the partnership “allows us to showcase his skills in new digital formats and create fresh ways to connect with fans and audiences.”

Pang added: “Having produced my own content for almost two decades, I am incredibly proud of how far we have come with our wide range of TV and social media series.

“We are even more excited for the future on YouTube, and we intend to continue creating fresh and meaningful, educational content around food, culture and travel. I’m sure this deal with Banijay Rights will enhance our viewership and audience across the globe.”

Pang is a regular on UK culinary shows such as Saturday Kitchen, Sunday Brunch, and Ready Steady Cook.

The six-part Jeremy Pang’s Hong Kong Kitchen aired on ITV and ITVX in the UK in Mya last year, having been created in partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
