Shortform scripted series to debut on US streamer in November
NBC Universal’s cable network Bravo is moving into microdramas with its first shortform vertical scripted series set to become available via Peacock.
Charmed by a Southern Monster will debut exclusively on the NBCU streamer from Monday, 9 November and stars Craig Conover and Nicole Mattox.

The show “blends soapy romance, workplace rivalry and small-town mystery,” NBCU said, with the story following a brilliant corporate fixer sent to convince and seduce a rumored murderer into selling his family’s estate.
When she discovers that the man may actually be misunderstood and that he can protect her from her dangerous ex-boyfriend, her life threatens to fall apart.
US duo Micromaker and Haymaker East are producing, with Aaron Rothman, Josh Halpert and Jesse Light attached as EP’s. Caroline Bomback co-executive produces, with Lyla Trilling writing.
Bravo, which was among a handful of cable networks retained by NBCU following the creation of Versant, also confirmed an expansion of the Next Gen franchise with new series Next Gen Atlanta.
The show, which explores rising personalities as they look to nbuild careers in music, sports and entertainment, is from Blink49 Studios. Next Gen NYC, which is produced by Banijay’s Truly Original, has also been handed a S3 order.
Bravo has also greenlit a fifth season of Haymaker East’s Southern Hospitality, which follows a circle of friends working and living in Charleston’s hospitality industry, and a second run of Truly Original’s In The City.
Peacock moved into vertical content in 2025 with shows including Jeopardy! and ordered two original unscripted shows this summer with Salon Confessionals with Madison LeCroy and Campus Confidential: Miami.
