Maureen Polo to replace Sarah Harden at The Morning Show producer

Maureen Polo has been upped to become chief exec at Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, with incumbent Sarah Harden stepping down after seven years in role.

The reshuffle will see Harden staying with The Morning Show producer until 2026 “to support the transition and continued strategic growth” of the company.

Polo was most recently head of direct-to-consumer at Hello Sunshine and will work across its output alongside film and TV president Lauren Nestadter and Corey Shepardson, who is now COO and CFO.

Polo, who had run marketing at WarnerMedia prior to joining in 2022, was most recently working on Hello Sunshine’s editorial and marketing output, as well as its social offering and the Reese’s Book Club brand.

Hello Sunshine was acquired by Candle Media in 2021 for $900m and has a slate that includes Apple TV+ drama The Last Thing He Told Me and Lucky. It’s also adapting Legally Blonde for Prime Video, whle earlier this year reports emerged that Blackstone-backed Candle Media was exploring its options for the company.

Witherspoon said Harden’s “exceptional leadership and unwavering support laid the foundation for Hello Sunshine’s success.”
