Banijay adventure reality format heads to France for fourth international version
French broadcaster M6 has ordered a local version of adventure reality format Shaolin Heroes, to be produced by Endemol France.
The French version of the show, originally created by Banijay Nordic’s Danish Label, Metronome, will see seven celebrities embark on a transformational embark on a transformational journey and attempt to master the ancient disciplines of the Shaolin Warrior Monks.
Guided by Shaolin Masters and stripped of everyday distractions, contestants face intense trials testing their physical and mental boundaries, all while uncovering facets of themselves they never knew existed.
M6’s adaptation is the fourth international version, after a recommission in Denmark, and launches in Belgium and the Netherlands earlier this year.
Banijay-owned Endemol France has a track record in producing global formats including Star Academy, Lego Masters, Drag Race, LOL: Last One Laughing, and recently announced travel title, The Best Holiday Destination – also for M6.

Contestants will be stripped of everyday distractions and guided by two Shaolin Masters.
