Married At First Sight UK

Married at First Sight is returning to Spain for the first time in eight years, while the UK show is among 32 seasons of finished tape picked up by Nine in Australia.

Mediaset has commissioned the new season of the hit reality format in Spain, with local label Bulldog producing.

The Seven.One Studios International-owned format previously aired on Antena 3 between 2015 and 2018.

Australia’s Nine, meanwhile, has taken delivery of a 32-season bundle of Married at First Sight English-language tapes, including the UK and New Zealand versions, plus MAFS USA spin-offs.

Nine has already ordered a 13th season, which will debut in 2026.

In the UK, where Married at First Sight UK S10 has just aired on E4, the broadcaster has confirmed it has acquired MAFS Australia S13.

It has also relicensed the show’s from S4 onwards, as well as taking rights to MAFS New Zealand S1-S3 for streaming.

Among a spate of other deals, Swedish broadcaster SVT has ordered a 16-episode 15th season to air in 2026, while TV2 in Norway and public broadcaster NRK have both acquired Married at First Sight tape for the first time.

NRK has acquired MAFS Sweden S11 & S12 and MAFS Denmark S11, while TV2 has picked up MAFS UK S10 & S11 and MAFS Australia S12 & S13.

In other Nordic tape news, Sýn in Iceland has picked up MAFS S12 & S13, plus S9 and S10 of the UK version.

Elsewhere, Canada’s Corus Entertainment has acquired MAFS UK S9 & S10, MAFS Australia S12 & S13 and MAFS USA S19-S22 for its Slice network.

NBCUniversal’s streamer Peacock will also debut S20 and S21 of Married at First Sight USA, following the launch of S19. The show, produced in the US by Kinetic Content, had previously aired on Lifetime.

Tobias Schulze, senior vice-president of global sales at Seven.One Studios International, said more than 35 different versions of MAFS had now been produced, with local versions selling into over 100 countries.

“The success of the brand shows no sign of slowing down as these new commissions and ever-popular tapes sales demonstrate,” he added.

MAFS was originally created and produced by Seven.One Studios-owned Snowman Productions for Denmark’s DR.

The format follows singles who have struggled to find love as they are matched by a team of experts, before meeting for the first time at altar.
