Puzzle Masters among NBC pilots
NBC has added to its pilot slate wth two more drama orders, including an adaptation of the Puzzle Master books by Danielle Trussoni.
Puzzled is being produced by NBC sibling Universal Television, with Joey Falco and Jordan Cerf attached to write.
The show, which follows NBC’s pilots greenlit last week, tracks how a promising college athlete is transformed by a traumatic brain injury that gives him the unique ability to see the world in an unexpected way and helps him solve crimes with local police.
Also on the pilot slate is Dick Wolf’s What The Dead Know, also from Universal Television with Wolf Entertainment also attached. It is based on the memoir by former New York City medical examiner Barbara Butcher.
Line of Duty to land on BritBox
BritBox in Australia has unveiled a raft of shows for its 2026 slate and confirmed the upcoming seventh season of Line of Duty will stream exclusively on the BBC Studios-owned streamer.
Thriller The Guest and feature-length I Am Ruth are among shows being added to the service, alongside Ludwig and Marble Hall Murders.
They will sit alongside returners such as Call The Midwife and Death in Paradise, while other acquisitions include Ruth Wilson-starring The Woman in the Wall and Martin Compston’s Revenge Club.
Beta’s Spanish dramas to land on Arte
French-German broadcaster Arte and German pubcaster SWR have acquired a handful of Spanish dramas from Beta Film, including Leticia Dolera’s Pubertat - Secrets, Lies and Human Castles.
Arte has also acquired the multi-awarded dramedy Perfect Life, while German free-to-air channel One has landed rights to the long-running Spanish series Velvet and spin-off The Velvet Collection.
Other deals include AXN White picking up Spanish thriller series Shades for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
