Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has acquired adaptation rights to Sort Your Life Out, the factual show that has run for six seasons on BBC1.

The All3Media International-distributed format helps families to reorganise their houses, encouraging members to decide what to keep and what to throw away.

The Spanish adaptation will be produced by Barcelona-based Lavinia Audiovisual.

Sort Your Life Out was created by All3’s Optomen Television and has already been produced in Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden.

The Spanish deal marks RTVE’s third acquisition from the All3Media catalogue in 2025. The pubcaster aired the Spanish version of Dog House this summer on its main channel, La 1, with an average share in line with the networks’s monthly number (around 10%).

The show was produced by Boxfish and had a €1.6m (£1.4m) budget, according to RTVE’s accounts.

The second All3M format adapted by RTVE this year is Race Across the World, which has been shooting in Latin America since mid-August.

The reality-adventure show will be on a primetime slot on La 1, with RTVE providing a €6.1m budget to the production, which comes from Banijay Iberia’s Zeppelin.

RTVE has expanded its entertainment format strategy of late by betting on numerous imported formats, including The Floor, Trivial Pursuit and The Pyramid.
