StudioCanal, Urban Myth Films, Millennium and G-Base have re-teamed for the third instalment of the …Has Fallen series spin-off.

Shadow Has Fallen, which follows Paris Has Fallen and Apollo Has Fallen – the first two series to emerge from the popular film franchise – will introduce actors Iwan Rheon and Brendan Coyle to the universe.

They will join stars Ritu Arya and Tewfik Jallab, who reprise their respective roles as MI6 operative Zara Taylor and former French Secret Service agent Vincent Taleb. Black Panther’s Atandwa Kani also joins the cast.

The 6 x 52-minute series sees a prison bus is ambushed in a sudden, brutal attack in Mozambique. Unassuming British prisoner, Miles (Rheon) is extracted by Taylor and Taleb, igniting a chain reaction that will threaten global infrastructure as Miles is a whistleblower who possesses a revolutionary cyber weapon capable of hijacking any computerised system.

Shadow Has Fallen is produced by StudioCanal-owned Urban Myth for Canal+, in partnership with StudioCanal, Millennium and G-Base. Johnny Capps and Howard Overman exec produce for the indie, alongside M-K Kennedy and Daniel Gratton for StudioCanal, Gerard Butler and Alan Siegel for G-Base, Avi Lerner, Jonathan Yunger and Yariv Lerner for Millennium. Julian Murphy produces.

Predecessor Paris Has Fallen, which is distributed by StudioCanal, has sold to more than 170 territories. Apollo Has Fallen will TX globally in the autumn.

Series creator Howard Overman said: “There’s a scale to series three that we’ve been building towards since Paris Has Fallen, and all of us at Urban Myth Films are thrilled that StudioCanal chose to back the future of this franchise in such a timely fashion.

“Shadow Has Fallen will see Vincent and Zara embark on their most demanding and morally challenging mission – a mission that takes them into the very heart of Southern Africa.
