UK format to be adapted for audiences in Poland
UK format Taskmaster is getting a Polish remake following a deal with broadcaster TVN.
The local version will be produced by format owner Avalon and Constantin, marking the 14th country to adapt the show.

Debut series of Taskmaster adaptations premiered last month on Syn in Iceland and on Estonia’s TV3, while Taskmaster Netherlands is set to air later this year on RTL.
TV4 in Sweden is in production on its 14th and 15th season of the format (known locally as Bäst i Test) with Fremantle partnering on production, while Warner Bros Discovery in Norway has also confirmed a renewal of its version (known as Kongen Befaler).
The show is also in its tenth season on TV2 in Denmark, while it has also been produced for partners including RTP in Portugal.
The format sees a host (Greg Davies in the UK) starring as the all-powerful ’Taskmaster’ who tests the wiles, wit and wisdom of five comedians through a series of strange and surreal challenges.
Paula Warwick, head of distribution at Avalon, said: “The strength of the format and its ability to deliver guaranteed comedy have driven its dedicated global following, and we can’t wait to bring it to Polish audiences. With more territories coming on board this year, its global expansion shows no signs of slowing.”
Format creator and host of the UK original, Alex Horne, said: “I think this has got a bit out of control, to be honest. But I am still thrilled that the people of Poland are finally going to see their top comedians casting dignity to one side as they strive to impress the Polish version of Greg Davies.”
