Diana docuseries to be sold by Cineflix
Cineflix Rights has acquired Love Monday TV’s three-part docuseries Diana Unheard for global distribution.
The 3 x 60-minute show is being coproduced for three as-uet undisclosed partners in the US, UK, and Australia to mark the 30th anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales’ death.
It draws on hours of never-before-heard, intimate audio recordings in a bid to reframe the princess’s role and life.
Cineflix will launch the show to international buyers at Mipcom later this month.
Romania remakes Turkish hit
Eccho Rights and Romanian broadcaster Pro TV have extended their scripted-format partnership with the latter remaking Turkish drama Kaçak.
Known locally as Fără Urmă (aka Without a Trace), the series will air on Pro TV and streaming platform Voyo, and marks the third Turkish drama format Eccho Rights has licensed to the broadcaster following remakes of Ezel and Insider (İçerde).
The latter, which became Clanul (aka The Clan), was so popular it spawned its own spin-off, Tătuțu (aka Our Father).
Produced by Süreç Film for ATV, the original Kaçak ran across two seasons in Türkiye. It follows a policeman who kills the son of a ruthless mafia boss and is forced to build a new identity in a quiet town until an act of heroism exposes him.
