The Neighbourhood opens ITVS slate

ITV Studios has revealed its slate ahead of London TV Screenings next week, with Lifted Entertainment and The Garden’s The Neighbourhood leading the format slate.

The reality show sits alongside cookery-dating combo The Heat (produced by Twofour) and Australian survival series Apocalypse (from The Garden and ITV Studios Australia), while holiday drama Two Weeks in August and novel adaptations including thriller The Rapture, crime show Invisible and relationship series The Party, are also available.

Other scripted shows include Adultery and The Dark from Ben Stephenson’s Poison Pen Studios, as well as The Killings At Parrish Station.

Unscripted flagships include Force of Nature, Ages of Ice and new show AI Confidential, about the untold stories of the tech and its potential impact on the modern world.

 

Anna Pigeon lands in London for Cineflix Rights

USA Network’s crime procedural Anna Pigeon is leading Cineflix Rights’ London TV Screenings slate, with a series exploring the Cirque du Soleil among unscripted offerings.

Anna Pigeon, which is based on the acclaimed novels by Nevada Barr, stars Tracy Spiridakos (Chicago PD) and is joined by The Walsh Sisters, Nordic crime thriller Hildur and Sunny Nights on Cineflix’s scripted slate.

The factual line-up includes Cirque Life, which has been produced for CBC in Canada and offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at global performance brand Cirque du Soleil.

Competition show Château DIY: Win the Dream, Property Brothers: Under Pressure, War Trains and Deep Water Secrets are among other offerings on the unscripted slate.

 

Banijay sells Bergerac into US

Banijay Rights has sold drama series Bergerac into the US, ahead of next week’s London TV Screenings.

PBS will start airing the first two seasons of the rebooted show later this year, following its production by Banijay-owned BlackLight TV and Jersey-based Westward Studios.

The drama, which was supported by tourism body Visit Jersey, was commissioned by U and U&Drama in the UK. It stars Damien Molony (The Split) in the iconic role of Jim Bergerac.

Matt Creasey, exec vice president of sales, co-productions & acquisitions at Banijay Rights, struck the deal via PBS Distribution.

 

DCD strikes Foxtel, BBC Lifestyle sales

Foxtel in Australia and BBC Lifestyle in South Africa have picked up six-part travel entertainment series Prue & Sandi’s South African Adventure from DCD Rights.

The UK-based company acquired worldwide distribution rights to the 6 x 60-minute series starring Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig earlier this year, with Yeti and DCD Rights producing for Channel 4.

The deal, unveiled ahead of London TV Screenings, was accompanied by sales of Bill Bailey’s Vietnam Adventure to BBC Earth (South Africa and Poland), Warner Bros. Discovery (Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong), TVNZ (New Zealand), Ananey Communications (Israel) and GBC (Gibraltar).

Elsewhere, Sue Perkin’s Big Adventure: Paris to Istanbul has recently sold to TVNZ (New Zealand), YLE (Finland) and TV3 Group (Latvia).
