Broadcast readers have just five days left to put forward their nominations for this year’s Hot Shots – our guide to the best talent under the age of 30.

We’re looking for star names in seven key categories:

  • Directing
  • Production
  • Writing
  • Craft
  • Post-Production
  • Business, Strategy and Marketing
  • Digital

There is still an opportunity to nominate someone for each of these and we are particularly keen to get some more great names in the directing and writing categories.

Entries, detailed on the attached form, are due in by 13 July and should be completed by a senior figure within a production company, digital agency or broadcaster on behalf of their chosen nominee(s).

Hot Shots has long been recognised as the place to find the best rising TV talent and the movers and shakers of tomorrow.

Previous Broadcast Hot Shots include BBC1 controller Danny Cohen, The Office co-creator Steven Merchant, BBC3 controller Zai Bennett, Shine chief Liz Murdoch, Red founder Nicola Shindler, Sky entertainment chief Duncay Gray, Remarkable Pictures managing director David Flynn and Exile writer Danny Brocklehurst.

The candidates selected will be invited to a photoshoot later this summer for a special supplement that will appear in the 26 August issue of Broadcast, which will be distributed widely at this year’s Edinburgh Television Festival.

Those featured will also be invited to a special launch party ahead of its official publication.
