Exciting news from the good people of OTR's favourite south London radio station, Choice FM, which has splashed the cash on a new 20-foot logo on its Southwark HQ. But we fear the impact of the new 'signage' could be limited because the logo has been built into the roof of the five-storey building and is only visible from the air. Frankly, OTR feels pilots shouldn't be listening to the radio anyway. In a fascinating press release from the good roofers of Dundec, we are informed that the logo was created in 'red polyurethane on a black background of chlorinated rubber'. The asphalt surface was 'filled and smoothed with epoxy resin before the BBA-approved Conipur polyurethane-based waterproofing system was applied.

Dry silica sand was broad cast into the roller and squeegee-applied Conipur 78 polyurethane preparation coat before a fire-resistant encapsulating coat of 257FL polyurethane was added.' In other words, the roof had sprung a leak.
