New categories for this year include Best AI Tool, Best Studio Build, Best Tech for Content Creators and more

The Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards 2026 has opened for entries.
The event, now in its eighth year, celebrates the best creative uses of technology in production and post-production, with the winners revealed at a gala dinner held at The Brewery, London, on 26 November, with 500 attendees from across the industry.
There are several new categories this year, including Young Talent of the Year (Production), sponsored by Netflix. Netflix also supports the Live Production and Post-Production Young Talent of the Year categories.
Other new categories for 2026 reflect the changing nature of the media industry, with Best AI Tool and Best Tech for Content Creators, as well as Best Studio Build.
These are alongside popular regular categories such as Excellence in Grading (with Scripted and Non-Scripted categories), Excellence in Audio Post-Production (Scripted and Non-Scripted again), Excellence in VFX, Best Use of Archive, Standout Tech of the Year (Post-Production and Production categories) and more.

The eligibility period for entries is 22 September 2025 – 18 September 2026, and the entry deadline is 18 September. You can enter, as well as find out more about the awards, here.
The Awards are the industry’s leading tech awards and uniquely celebrate the creative use of technology for TV production, post-production and broadcast.

Shortlists will be announced shortly after the deadline, with the winners then chosen by a cohort of esteemed judges from across the media industry. The winners will be revealed at the gala dinner at The Brewery, London, on 26 November, with 500 attendees including peers, clients and the wider televisual industry.
