Disauthority promotes Haris to managing director

Disauthority has promoted Zain Haris to managing director.

Haris moves into the role having been a colourist at the post house for the previous three years, establishing its technical pipeline and contributing to the wider evolution of its offering. In his new role, Haris will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, working closely with the team across creative, production and technical areas. 

Owner Marcus Hundsnes had previously been managing director and will now, alongside executive Maria Hundsnes-Shevtsova, focus on strengthening existing relationships, developing new opportunities and expanding the company’s offering.

Disauthority began in Croydon, and recently opened a grading facility in Farringdon. 

Hundsnes said: “Zain has been there from the very beginning, so having him step into this role feels like a natural progression. He understands Disauthority inside and out, not only creatively and technically, but also the way we want to work and the standards we want to set. I have a huge amount of trust in him, and I’m excited to see him take that experience into the daily operations of the company. His promotion also gives more opportunity for me to focus on growing the business and building on what we’ve already achieved.”

Hundsnes-Shevtsova added, “We’re really excited about this change and the positive impact we expect it to have on the way we structure the company and divide our responsibilities. It gives Zain the scope to take on a greater leadership role, while allowing Marcus and I to focus on developing the Disauthority slate and our offerings. We feel it’s the right move for the company at this stage of its growth.”
