Dilworth has previously held senior roles at Moonraker VFX

Lux Aeterna has hired Alex Dilworth as its design creative director.
Dilworth has over 20 years’ experience in the VFX industry, most recently in senior creative roles at Moonraker VFX. His work has included natural history title sequences such as The Green Planet, Earth, and Planet Earth III, as well as the visual identity for Netflix’s History 101, plus broadcast packages and large-scale visuals for global live events and installations.
Recent credits include creative direction and graphic design for the Netflix documentary Chimp Empire and Ocean with David Attenborough for NatGeo/Disney+.
At Bristol-based Lux Aeterna, Dilworth will work across Lux Aeterna’s slate to help shape direction from early development through post-production.
Rob Hifle, founder and director at Lux Aeterna, said: “Alex combines a strong design sensibility with a clear storytelling instinct. His approach aligns naturally with how we work across editorial, VFX, and design.”
Dilworth added: “The calibre of the work at Lux Aeterna speaks for itself. What really drew me in was the value placed on the creative process from the top down. I love not knowing what the next brief will look like, or what form the solution will take. That freedom to explore, and to do so collaboratively, is incredibly energising.”
