Stay has previously worked at Absolute, MPC, and DNEG

Lux Aeterna has added Richard Stay as compositing supervisor.
Stay has 35 years’ experience in the industry, including 16 years at DNEG, and was most recently a VFX supervisor at Absolute Post. He has also had stints at MPC, Vanguard Animation and US-based Rhythm & Hues.
Stay will work across Lux Aeterna’s growing slate, overseeing compositing teams and helping deliver upcoming projects for clients including the BBC and Prime Video.
Rob Hifle, founder and director, Lux Aeterna, said: “Richard brings an incredible depth of knowledge, both creatively and technically, as well as a real understanding of what it takes to lead teams and deliver ambitious work. He’s joining us at an exciting time for the studio, with a strong slate of projects ahead, and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
Stay added: “I’m happy to bring my many years of experience, positive outlook – and best dad jokes – to Lux Aeterna, and to be joining the studio in the beautiful city of Bristol at a busy and exciting time for the company. There are some great projects coming down the line, and I can’t wait to help deliver the high-quality work that Lux Aeterna is known for.”
