The 25-year-old post house has brought in the experienced post-production commercial operator to develop new partnerships and identify new opportunities

Platform Post has taken on former Fifty Fifty commercial managing director JP Dash as commercial executive.
During his eight years at Fifty Fifty, he played a key role in developing and growing the business, building long-standing relationships with producers and creative partners, and driving new business across a broad range of genres, most notably across SVOD feature documentaries and scripted comedy.
His credits include Inside the Manosphere - Mindhouse for Netflix, Untold: Jamie Vardy - Orchard Studios for Netflix, and Such Brave Girls (1&2) - VAL for BBC and We Might Regret This (1&2)- Rough Cut for BBC.
At Platform, Dash will focus on developing the company’s commercial strategy and building new partnerships across the production community. He will also identify new opportunities for Platform’s picture, VFX and audio capabilities, while supporting the continued development of the 25-year-old independent post house.
“I’m super excited about joining Platform,” says Dash. “For years, whilst at Fifty Fifty, we worked with Platform to support overflow work for our mutual businesses so we already have a strong working relationship and a similar approach to client service and how to deliver an excellent post service. Platform has an incredibly capable creative and technical team backed by a genuinely collaborative approach. For me, the best commercial relationships in post are about understanding what a production is trying to achieve, building trust with the people making it, and finding ways for the post team to become a valuable part of that creative process. The team at Platform deeply understands this approach so it feels like a great match.”
Jo Beighton, managing director of Platform, adds: “We’re very excited to have JP join the team at Platform. We share a similar approach and values, particularly around the importance of relationships and collaboration, and we think he is an excellent fit for the business. His experience and understanding of the post-production industry will be a real asset as we continue to grow and develop our offering.”
Platform’s recent credits include The Murder Detective - BBC Studios for Channel 4, Power: The Downfall of Hugh Edwards - Wonderhood for CH5, The Mother of All Cons - BBC Studios for BBC.
