Russell promoted after five years in sales team
Splice has promoted Chris Russell to head of sales.
Russell has spent the previous five years as part of the sales team, working on new and existing relationships with both scripted and unscripted clients. He will now continue in this vein, working closely with commercial director Bonnie Gilmore and head of scripted post Lauren Andrew.
Before joining Splice, Russell worked as a producer with the likes of the BBC, Ministry of Sound, and more, as well as in the sales team at Molinare.
Russell said: “It’s been a joy to work with so many talented and creative people over the last 5 years, not just at Splice, but across the UK film & TV industry and I’m incredibly excited to continue that work in a new role and collaborate with teams who produce such entertaining and thought-provoking content”.
Richard Folley, managing director of Splice, said: “I am delighted for Chris to be stepping into this senior role. He exemplifies our ethos here at Splice - creative led, collaborative, transparent, innovative and empathetic. His input has proven instrumental in our success in the time he has already spent here at Splice and with this significant change in position his influence will continue to enhance what we offer to our clients.”
Gilmore said: “Chris is an incredible team member. His dedication and commitment to his work are infectious and a real joy to be around. I’m genuinely excited about what the future holds for Chris and for our team at Splice. With so many projects in the pipeline, it’s a brilliant time for us.
“I’m personally looking forward to collaborating with him in his newly expanded role — a role that is hugely deserved.”
