Creative directors Adam Smyth and Lawrence Kendrick have been promoted to company directors at the sound design company

Sound design and music company String and Tins has promoted creative directors Adam Smyth and Lawrence Kendrick to company directors.
They will work alongside CEO Rachel Hough to shape String and Tins’ creative direction and future growth.
Following the promotion of Smyth and Kendrick, String and Tins founders Mike Bamford and Will Cohen will focus “more deeply” on their areas of expertise, as head of music and supervising sound designer, respectively.
Bamford says: “There are not many people in the world with sound design instincts as sharp as Lawrence and Adam. They both work at the leading edge of technology but have an innate human intuition to shape narratives.”
Cohen adds: “Adam and Lawrence have proved themselves to be the very best at what they do since they joined String and Tins, through their work as engineers but also as leaders to the rest of the team. I know that they will smash it as they move into their new roles alongside Rachel and feel that the company couldn’t be in better hands.”
Hough says: “As well as their sonic excellence, Lawrence and Adam bring a rare and much valued blend of thoughtful creative direction, smart insight, and strong industry connections. I’m super excited to partner with them as we shape what comes next.”
