Pair will provide infrastructure to deliver live events and sport

Appear and LTN have partnered to offer an integrated live broadcast solution.

The solution will take advantage of Appear’s X Platform and LTN’s managed global network to provide live event contribution and distribution.

Appear’s X Platform provides high-density encoding and decoding supporting JPEG XS, JPEG 2000, AVC, HEVC, and ST 2110 workflows, and will be integrated directly into LTN’s purpose-built IP backbone. LTN can extend those feeds into global distribution, adding point-to-multipoint delivery, conditional access, rights management, multi-language versioning, graphics insertion, and metadata enrichment. 

The solution will target broadcasters, sports leagues, OTT platforms, and service providers.
