Zinc Media Group’s post-production division Bumblebee has invested in Freispace as its central scheduling system.

Olly Strous, chief technology officer, Zinc Media Group said the user experience was the deciding factor in choosing freispace. He said: “For us, it was essential that any system we adopted was intuitive and easy to use from the outset. freispace stood out in this regard. It has significantly improved our visibility across operations, and the utilisation data is now playing an important role in our internal reporting”.

Lorenzo Culora, head of post, Bumblebee London, adds: “Bumblebee brings together a number of post-production disciplines across both short-form and long-form content. Identifying a scheduling platform that could support this level of complexity was critical. Freispace enables us to manage all of this within a single system, simplifying workflows and improving day-to-day efficiency. Its web-based functionality also allows us to access and respond to scheduling needs quickly, wherever we are.”

Simon Lyell, head of post, Glasgow, said: “The transition to Freispace has given us far greater control over our schedules. The permission settings allow teams to have full visibility without compromising the integrity of the system, while enabling us to track resources accurately and ensure they are allocated effectively across our locations”

Leonardo Re, managing director of Freispace, adds: “Bumblebee is redefining what a modern post-production house looks like, not just through their exceptional creative work but through their commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency. We are thrilled that freispace has been chosen to support their ambitious expansion plans and provide the clarity they need to manage their complex multi-site environment.”
