Canon EOS R6 V camera

Canon has launched the EOS R6 V camera, pitching it as a camera designed for use by content creators.

The full frame EOS camera is designed for handheld and gimbal shots, the camera features robust in-body IS as well as a 7K / 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor, 7K 60p RAW, 7K 30p Open Gate, and support of Slow and Fast Mode.

The company believes the EOS R6 V camera is suited for self-produced content ranging from short-form social video to long-form video productions and podcasts.

Canon has also revealed the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ zoom lens, a full-frame compatible L-Series, RF mount lens that is Canon’s first L-series lens to feature built-in power zoom without the need for additional accessories. The lens has a 20mm to 50mm focal range, it provides ultra-wide angle views, and zooms through to a standard field of view. It is again aiming for the content creator market.

In addition to the new camera and lens, Canon has revealed several creator-focused accessories. These include the BR-E2 Wireless Remote Control, a low energy bluetooth remote that can control all EOS and PowerShot cameras released since August 2022 remotely, except the EOS R100, and has lever-operated zoom operations and exposure compensation.

There is also the HG-200TBR Multi-Function Tripod Grip designed for both horizontal and vertical formats, and the AD-M1 Macro Lite Adapter Set designed for use with macro lenses and select standard lenses.
