IBC 2026: Ross Video unveils Ultrix FR30

Ross Video has launched the Ultrix FR30, a software-defined piece of hardware that can combine routing, multiviewing, signal processing, audio, production switching, screen processing, media gateway functionality, and control. 

The FR30 is designed for enterprise-scale broadcast, sports, OB, corporate, and media environments, and supports up to 576×576 UHD I/O in a single 30RU chassis. It is also transport agnostic, supporting SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, Dante, SRT, JPEG XS, and other industry-standard media formats, and its features are unlocked through software licensing, so users can activate what they need when they need it. 

Ross claims that it can reduce rack space by up to 97%, power consumption by up to 89%, and cabling by up to 95%.
