Tool can customise and control a multi-vendor audio workflow

Sennheiser

Sennheiser has given the first look at its Spectera API, a platform for customising and controlling audio workflows.

The Spectera API, building on Sennheiser’s Spectera control system, allows for these features to be applied to multi-vendor workflows. It will be released in Q2, with support for DIY users and third-party solutions from industry partners such as Bitfocus Companion, SoundBase, Sonoros, and more.

In addition to Spectera API, Sennheiser also announced its Spectera SKM handheld transmitter (both the UHF and 1.4 GHz version) and Command adapter, which equips the handheld with a programmable Command function, at ISE. Both will be available from September.

ISE also saw Sennheiser give first looks at Engineer Mode (cue mode) for live sound applications (scheduled for December 2026), the Command adapter for the SEK (scheduled for May 2026) and the Base Station ZMAN with ST 2110-30 standard for integration into broadcast workflows (scheduled for August 2026).
