Mexican broadcaster TV Azteca is using Veset Nimbus on AWS to provide disaster recovery playout for its adn40 network.

Veset Nimbus enables TV Azteca to switch to an alternative playout environment in the event of an outage or disruption to its primary broadcast infrastructure.

Nimbus makes it possible for TV Azteca to maintain a managed, ready-to-air channel in the cloud, without the cost and complexity of maintaining duplicate on-premise systems.

TV Azteca operates four television networks in the Mexico region – Azteca Trece, Azteca 7, adn40 and a+.

Martins Magone, CTO, Veset, said: “Broadcasters need resilient, cost-effective disaster recovery solutions that can be activated instantly. By deploying Veset Nimbus on AWS as a DR playout channel, TV Azteca gains the confidence that its adn40 services can remain on air, even in the event of unexpected disruption.”
