Camera robotics business is in the process of being sold by Nikon

Nick Barthee MRMC

MRMC has appointed Nick Barthee as its COO, shortly after it was revealed that Nikon has agreed to sell the company.

The camera robotics business is set to be sold to investment company Blandford Capital, having been owned by Nikon since 2016.

However, with Barthee’s appointment the company confirms that this has no effect on the day-to-day running of the business and it continues normal operations with no changes to its day-to-day activities, leadership structure, or customer commitments.

Barthee arrives at MRMC with over two decades of experience in operational engineering leadership roles, most recently as COO and director of operations at Mo-Sys for over six years. He has also worked at Kinsey Ross & Harlow Group, contributing to B2B production innovation and operational strategy.

At MRMC, Barthee will oversee global operations, production strategy, and cross-divisional integration across MRMC’s Broadcast and Motion Control product groups.

He said: “MRMC has long been recognised for its world-leading engineering and robotics systems. Having spent years in the robotics and virtual production sectors, I’ve always admired the company’s innovation and technical excellence. I’m pleased to join the team and support its continued development.”
