O’Shea moves to new role from director of group technology platforms

ITV has named Matthew O’Shea as ITV Studios’ technology director. 

O’Shea has been with ITV since 2011, and was most recently director of group technology platforms for the past six years. Overall, he has over 30 years’ experience in technology and business transformation, including also working at the BBC and the Home Office. 

In his new role, O’Shea will lead a team responsible for the design, implementation, and support of technology solutions at ITV Studios and report to Simon Farnsworth, ITV CTO, with an additional reporting line into David McGraynor, chief operating officer, ITV Studios. His tasks will include running digital transformation initiatives to optimise workflows and enhance content delivery, as well as creating new business opportunities, and he will work closely with other technology teams within ITV. 

Previous technology director Peter Russell left to becomemanaging director of technical production services provider The Collectv earlier this summer
