Current managing director Chris Sarson becomes CEO, while commercial director Soraya Robertson becomes CCO

The Collectv (winner of Broadcast Tech’s Team of the Year) has appointed Peter Russell as managing director.

Russell has nearly 30 years in the industry, including 20 years of strategic, operational and technical leadership in the broadcast and production sector.

He most recently served as director of technology at ITV Studios, leading global advancements in technical production across all genres. His career highlights include spearheading the digital enablement strategy at ITV Studios, directing post-production and production technology at The London Studios, and leading technology operations at GMTV.

In his new role, Russell will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the company, driving all business strategy and operations.

Russell’s appointment is part of a number of other changes at the top for The Collectv. Commercial director (and co-owner) Soraya Robertson becomes chief commercial officer, while managing director (and co-owner) Chris Sarson becomes chief executive officer.
