Courses in cloud computing and AI are available to Rise community members
Advocacy group for gender diversity in broadcast and media tech, Rise, has launched Rise Upskill, a free training programme for up to 50 members of the Rise community.
Supported by AWS, Upskill offers online-taught foundational certifications in either cloud computing or artificial intelligence, available for free to Rise community members worldwide. Applications are now open here until 25 May, and the courses run from 1 June to 1 September.
The courses are delivered through AWS Skill Builder and are included in the platform’s free subscription. This self-paced learning will be supported by AWS resources and training study support drop-in clinics.
The programme will support 50 participants in achieving professional certification. Places will be awarded to successful applicants who commit to completing the required coursework and sitting their chosen certification examination within the programme timeline.
Successful applicants will be notified by 15th May and there will be an introductory online session for the 2026 cohort on Thursday 4th June.
