Norway-based graphics systems developer Vizrt’s proposed acquisition of news automation developer Mosart Medialab closed this week.

Vizrt said the £10.6m ($17.7m) deal for Mosart, which is majority owned by Danish broadcaster TV2, would enable it to develop “ground-breaking solutions” including a “very powerful and efficient TV-in-a-box system”.

Vizrt chief executive Martin Burkhalter said the addition of Mosart’s competence in studio production automation would expand the company’s already comprehensive workflow.
