IBC 2016: LiveU has released the LU600, its new portable transmission unit for newsgathering and live sports and events coverage.

LiveU chief executive Samuel Wasserman said: “In the new LU600, every facet of our system has been improved to deliver unparalleled performance and extremely low latency, matching satellite performance.

“We’ve designed it to be the reference IP bonding solution for many years. Available immediately, we’re confident that the LU600 offers the most robust and versatile IP bonding solution today.”

LiveU said the unit delivers the highest video quality and bitrate in the market of up to 20Mbps and file transfer of 80Mbps.

It has a delay of 0.5 sec.

The LU600 is field upgradable to H.265 HEVC.
