Working as a shooting researcher under acclaimed filmmaker Dan Reed at Amos Pictures was a formative boot camp for Amelia Griffiths, who specialises in documentaries tackling sensitive and intimate subject matters.

During her three years at Amos, Amelia worked on Netflix feature doc Vjern Tomic: the Spider-Man of Paris and HBO’s Emmy-winning The Truth vs Alex Jones, developing her practical shooting skills at locations from hospitals in South Asia to Senate buildings in Washington and courtrooms in Texas.

As an assistant producer on 72 Films’ Emmy-nominated Cult Massacre: One Day in Jonestown and Passion Pictures’ Hulu doc Devil in the Family: the Fall of Ruby Franke, Amelia further honed her skills in telling stories with nuance, empathy, and editorial rigour.

She stayed with Passion for her first series as producer, Channel 4’s Bafta-winning See No Evil, prioritising the wellbeing of contributors who were victims of abuse and institutional failure within the Church of England.

“Amelia shone in every area of this hugely complex project,” observes executive producer Kira Phillips.

“She is whip-sharp and her own woman, but always modest and calm, a steadying presence for both our team and contributors. She is enormously hard-working but never flustered, hugely skilled across all areas of production but quick to pick up higher-level skills like duty of care, legal, compliance and right of replies.

“Amelia’s emotional intelligence is way beyond her years, and this shows in her casting and care of our victims and survivors. She’s the real deal - and she’s not yet 30.”
