Chris Brown and Julia Morris to front ITV Studios Australia adaptation of ITV hit

Saturday Night Takeaway is to be moved to a Sunday for its Australian remake as part of a round of ITV Studios commissions.
Australia’s Network Ten has ordered ITV Studios Australia to remake the family variety format under the title of Sunday Night Takeaway.
The variety show will be hosted by Australian I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! duo Chris Brown and Julia Morris, taking cues from Ant and Dec’s hosting duties for both formats in the UK.
Rival broadcaster Seven Network previously announced plans to create a Sunday version of the British format in 2015, but the plans were later dropped.
Saturday Night Takeaway has run for 13 seasons on ITV and is currently on hiatus following co-host Ant McPartlin’s drink-driving charge.
The show has been produced in a further 10 territories. However, the format has struggled abroad, with versions of the format for China, Finland, France, Germany, Portugal, and the US all axed.
Elsewhere, Network Ten has recommissioned BBC Studios’ Dancing With The Stars after a two-year break and has ordered a fifth season of I’m A Celebrity from ITVS Australia.
France’s TF1 has revived I’m A Celebrity from ITVS France, having aired one series in 2006, and has recommissioned an eighth series of The Voice and a tenth series of Four Weddings from Talpa Media.
Meanwhile, ProSieben SAT.1’s version of Dancing on Ice, produced by ITVS Germany, is currently in pre-production.
