Disney Channel’s Louise Bucknole has been appointed the new head of scheduling at BBC Children’s - replaces Philip Stagg who has moved to the BBC HD Channel.
Bucknole was previously senior manager of programme planning at Disney Channel, where she led the schedule strategy and programme planning team for the Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Disney Cinemagic across the UK and Ireland.
She also oversaw the launch of series three of Hannah Montana and Disney TV movies High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock.
Before she joined Disney, she was scheduler for CITV and then acting channel editor for CITV.
BBC Children’s controller Richard Deverell said: “Louise brings a wealth of experience and some great ideas”.
In her new role, Bucknole will oversee scheduling for more than 200 hours of programming across CBBC and CBeebies. She will join the corporation later this month.
Stagg has moved to BBC HD Channel as head of planning and scheduling.
