BBC Broadcast head of children's commissioning Roy Thompson has greenlit a second series about the fictional adventures of teen chart band S Club 7 (left). Called S Club 7 in LA, the 13 x 30-minute series is being made by GMG Endemol production arm Initial Kids, under Christopher Pilkington. The commission follows Miami 7, S Club 7's first TV series, which aired last year.

The writing team for the new run includes Kim Fuller (Spice World - The Movie), Georgia Pritchett (Smack the Pony), Paul Dornan (My Wonderful Life) and Paul Alexander and Simon Braithwaite (Red Dwarf). It is produced by Alan Barnette and directed by Andrew Margetson.
