Covid-19 halted production of three episodes of BBC2 five-part returner
BBC2’s Fred Sirieix-helmed globe-trotting show Remarkable Places to Eat from Outline Productions is set to return for its second outinig, with three episodes yet to be filmed due to covid-19.
Just two episodes of the 5 x 60-minute series of the returning BBC2 show were filmed prior to lockdown. These feature chef Andi Oliver exploring her love of the food in Marrakech and food writer Rachel Khoo making the case for Viennese cuisine.
“Although there’s a delay between the starter and the rest of the courses this time, we’re sure the food and restaurants that Andi and Rachel take Fred to will leave audiences looking forward to the remainder of the series and the further treats we have in store,” said Outline creative directors Laura Mansfield and Helen Veale.
The first series of the show averaged an audience of 1.8m (9.73%) over its four parts.
Remarkable Places to Eat is executive produced by Katy Fryer and series produced by Flora Fenton. The series was ordered by popular factual head of commissioning Catherine Catton alongside BBC2 controller Patrick Holland with Patrick McMahon serving as assistant commissioner.
