BBC3 has commissioned World of Wonder to pilot a “fashion gameshow” in which the audience strips to its underwear.

Strip Search will challenge contestants to demonstrate their styling ability in front of a panel of fashion experts, with the audience acting as models. Any aspiring fashionista that doesn't make the grade will be ejected through a trapdoor.

The 30-minute programme will be fronted by Caroline Flack, who has previously co-presented CBBC's Saturday morning show TMi and also hosted week five of the most recent series of Big Brother's Big Mouth.

A call out for participants said: “Strip Search is a brand spanking new game show for BBC3, where we'll be kick starting new fashions and pitting the most stylish boys and girls in the country against one another for the chance to take home a fantastic prize.

“To get involved, all you need to do is come on down to the show and get your kit off for us! That's right - the audience will be stripping to their underwear, and a handful of contestants will be demonstrating their flair for fashion in front of a panel of expert fashionistas.”

The pilot episode is due to be filmed today or tomorrow but is not planned for broadcast. It was ordered by BBC3 controller Danny Cohen and Karl Warner, BBC executive commissioner for BBC3 and teens, who was also behind Upstaged and Lily Allen and Friends.

Simon London is executive producer for Wold of Wonder.
