MONDAY: After a strong debut last week, audience figures for BBC4 comedy drama Dirk Gently took a tumble.

The detective series, starring Stephen Mangan, began its three-part run last Monday with 737k (3%).

While the second instalment could not hold that initial audience, it proved the most-watched programme on multichannel across the 9pm hour, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.

Dirk Gently also remained ahead of BBC4’s slot average of 385k (1.5%).

An additional 17k viewers watched a repeat of the comedy drama on BBC HD at 10.30pm.

BBC3’s two-part documentary drew to a close with a small audience; far off the channel’s slot average of 470k (1.9%).

It also failed to match last week’s first instalment, which was seen by 172k (0.7%).
