Girls and Boys explores
Girls and Boys explores the social issues facing two inner city children and covers subjects including domestic violence, exclusion and bullying. One of the 60-minute programmes follows Jordan, who plays truant from school, while the other features 11-year-old Carla.
Wivell, who last year produced and directed a C4 documentary about homosexual activity on London's Clapham Common, filmed the series in the London borough of Hackney and spent 12 months with the children at their homes and school. He is producing and directing the piece with Jo Abel also as producer.
Peter Symes is the executive producer. The films are scheduled to air in the spring.
