Waterside, the Edinburgh-based post-production house, has invested£250,000 in broadcast facilities at its Leith base.

The money has been used to set up a graphic design department and two new edit suites, bringing the total to four.

The new facilities go online on 23 July and will be headed by Ian Stroud, a former editor at Yorkshire Television and Picardy.

Kerry Cathro, who has also joined from Picardy, will head the new graphics team.
