Tension mounted at The Hospital Club last week as Broadcast kicked off the Christmas season in style, unveiling the nominees for the annual Broadcast Awards.
This year, for the first time, editor Lisa Campbell introduced the judge’s picks live in front of potential nominees - and survived.
Duty done, programme-makers joined us at the bar to celebrate and commiserate with a refreshing glass or two, mingling with sponsors, judges and the odd Broadcast hack.
Sara Geater joined us fresh from announcing Talkback’s restructure, Firecracker Films’ crew capped a blockbuster year to celebrate their nomination for best indie, and there was even talk of a sweepstake or two.
