Quiz show format to be unveiled to buyers at London TV Screenings next week

French broadcaster M6 has ordered a primetime quiz show format from Banijay-owned producer DMLS TV, Broadcast International has learned.
How Old Is Your Brain? (aka Quel Est L’âge de Votre Cerveau?) brings 200 contestants into a studio, where they face 50 questions across logic, memory and maths that become increasingly difficult.
Contestants compete to prove their mental agility for a chance to win €50,000 (£44,000), with former Fort Boyard host Olivier Minne lined up to lead the French version.
Mathieu Vergne, chief exec at DMLS TV, described the show as “a thrilling, high-energy challenge” that will encourage co-viewing.
“It’s the kind of format that brings generations together, sparking laughter and competition,” he said. “Whether you’re 15 or 75, you’ll find yourself playing along with your whole family and putting your brain to the test.”
James Townley, chief content officer of development at Banijay Entertainment, added that the show was a “cerebral showdown built for co-viewing and packed with international potential.
“With DMLS TV’s proven expertise in creating hit entertainment formats, How Old Is Your Brain? is poised to become a flagship show for M6 and we’re confident it will get audiences hooked,” Townley said. The format will be rolled out to international buyers at the London TV Screenings next week.
DMLS TV was acquired by Banijay in 2021 and is behind Le Plus Grand Karaoké de France, Chanson Secrète (aka The Secret Song), La Chanson Challenge (aka The Celebrity Song Challenge) and Duos Mystères (aka Mystery Duets).
It is also behind the reboot of Popstars, a co-production with ALP for Prime Video.
