Global Content Studios exec and former FAST chief to exit as part of cost-savings move at the company

BBC Studios’ New York-based sales exec and former FAST chief Beth Anderson is stepping down.

Anderson was most recently senior vice president of global sales planning at BBCS’s Global Content Studios, working across content, distribution and commercial units to support sales.

She had been in the role since January 2025 and before that had been senior vice president and general manager of BBCS’s FAST Channels and VOD sales, striking numerous deals for the company’s shows and channel brands around the world.

It is understood the move comes as part of cost-savings at BBCS’s North American operations.

Anderson joined BBCS in 2018 having spent a year with Sony’s Digital Audio Disc Corporation (DADC), prior to which she spent 10 years with BBCS in a range of roles including associate vice president of franchise planning.

A BBC Studios spokesperson said: “We’d like to extend our enormous thanks to Beth for her incredible 19-year tenure flying the BBC flag so loudly and proudly from the US. We wish her every success in her next chapter.”

Anderson broke the news on LinkedIn, posting that her role had closed. “What comes next is for another day,” she added.

BBCS has been reshaping its strategy over the past 18 months with distribution and content sales being combined under the purview of Zai Bennett, BBCS Productions chief exec and chief creative officer.

Former head of global media and streaming, Rebecca Glashow, departed in September in 2025 followed by distribution chief Janet Brown, who revealed she would be leaving earlier this year.
